Temporary Closure of DPHSS Offices at Terlaje Building

Hagåtña, Guam – The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) announces the temporary closure of select offices at the Terlaje Building due to a power outage and no generator access at the facility.

DPHSS Monitors National Child Care Funding Reports

DPHSS Monitors National Child Care Funding Reports; Confirms No Official Notice of Payment Interruptions for Guam

The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS), Division of Children’s Wellness (DCW), Bureau of Child Care Services (BCCS) has been made aware of recent news circulation from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding the freezing of child care center payments to all states amidst fraud allegations in Minnesota. At this time, DPHSS has not received official notice. 
  
DPHSS recognizes the potential impact caused by the allegations in Minnesota could have on local programs. DPHSS is confident that our internal processes follow all protocols. We assure that compliance & program integrity is our top priority and we remain steadfast to reporting accordingly and maintaining collaborative partnership with our federal counterparts. 
  
DPHSS, DCW, BCCS acknowledges the care, professionalism, and patience from our local childcare community and is committed to strengthening communication, increasing transparency, and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of all residents of Guam.
